ACK Diocese of Mt. Kenya South was created in 1975 on the
sub-division of Mount Kenya. In 1984 the Diocese of Mt. Kenya
Central was separated off and in 1998 the Diocese of Thika was
carved off leaving the present Diocese of Mt. Kenya South. |

Projects
1.
Seed planting project,
This project aims at raising funds to buy rental houses in
the city of Nairobi which will earn money to assist the
work of the diocese.
The project is in the initial stages of
acquiring a five-storey house in Nairobi, at a cost of
Ksh.33 million.
Our Diocese aims
to acquire 3 to 5 such properties within our five year
development plan.
2. Mother’s Mercy Home at Kianjogu at
Ndenderu near Limuru.
This project is aimed at providing a home for
destitute children, especially those orphaned by HIV/AIDS
whose both parents have died.
We have at present 84 such children whom we have
been nursing from infancy and they will soon need formal
education.
The project aims at acquiring a five-acre land and putting
up dormitories.
The down payment for land purchase has been made
and we should be able to raise more funds to pay 5 million
price of the land.
The main focus now is to raise funds to put up the
dormitories at a cost of 50 million for the first phase.
