Board of Finance
The Provincial Board of Finance supervises and oversees the financial operations of the Anglican Church of Kenya. Its key mandate is to ensure that financial Decisions of ACK are executed in line with Vision of the Church.
Working through Subcommittees, the Board advises the church and decides on the behalf of the Church what kind of investments it can make, Budgetary appropriations, and grants and Loan approvals to the Dioceses. It is chaired by:
The Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit is the current Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya. He is also the Bishop of the All Saints Cathedral Diocese and the Bishop in Ordinary of the Kenya Defence Forces. He holds a Diploma in Theology from the Berea Theological College, Nakuru, a Degree in Divinity from the St. Paul’s University and a Master’s Degree in Social Development and Sustainable Livelihoods from the University of Reading, England. He was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Global University for lifelong Learning in California.
Prior to his Current Posting, he served as a clergy in various Dioceses within the Anglican Church in Kenya and as the Bishop of Kericho Diocese. Currently he sits on various other Organization’s Boards where he brings his knowledge in leadership and Development. He is also the Chairman of the St. Paul’s University, Limuru.
The Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit is committed to building the church and ensuring holistic growth within communities. Through the ACK strategic Plan 2018-2027, he intends to drive the Church’s agenda is social transformation in the country.
The Rev. Dr. Canon Rosemary Muthoni Mbogo is the Provincial Secretary of the Anglican Church of Kenya. A dynamic leader, trainer and manager, Dr. Rosemary holds a Bachelor of Education (University of Nairobi) and a Masters of Arts degree in Theology and Biblical Counseling from the Nairobi International School of Theology. She has worked as a teacher, Head-teacher, Inspector of schools, lecturer, and University Council Member at St. Paul’s University. In addition, she is an ordained clergy in the Anglican Church. Until 2018, she was the Chairperson of the National Council of Churches. She has also been involved in other national advocacy engagements which have contributed immensely in addressing issues affecting the country. These includes, among others, the National Council of Churches of Kenya as the Commission Member.
Dr. Rosemary has also published two books namely “Woman, a vessel of Honor” and Great Potential” explores various issues that affect women and the place that they hold in the growth of a vibrant society. She passionately, highlights the dignity of women in Development both in terms of personal and community growth.
Prof William Otiende Ogara has over 25 years of experience in both the financial and Civil Society (FBO) sector. He has worked with Price water house Coopers as an auditor, CORAT Africa as the Executive Director for consultancy and research and currently as the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Leadership Renewal Africa. He is also an expert in coaching support and Organization Development.
